Go Kart!
Writing for magazines definitely has its perks. I was given four gift certificates by the owner of City Kart Racing in Paranaque (whom I interviewed a couple of days ago). I was really excited and humped up by going race karting!
My discipleship group was supposed to go with me, but due to the last minute, only Ikoy, my leader was able to go (and since it was a Thursday, well…)
Ikoy brought his cousin Gelo and his younger brother Reese to go with us. And so there were four of us!
I was anxious as I donned my jumpsuit, and while waiting for our names to be flashed on television at City Kart racing. I was actually nervous. When our time was up and I was given kart number 5, I revved up the engine and off we go! My nervousness suddenly disappeared as I trailed the course and boy, did I enjoy the ride!
I actually crashed into the fence twice and had to be readjusted by the marshal, but it was okay.
Ten minutes of that was worth it.
I was actually the third placer even if I was the first to do an offshoot at the course. But it didn’t matter. We had fun, everyone had fun!
And we want to do it again! And since kart racing is kind of expensive, we’re going to save money for this event!
Next time, i’ll be the fastest racer to hit the track!
